Welcome to this article, where we'll learn how to add more voices to the Valobolca Text-to-Speech app.
Step 1: Open Registry Editor
First, we need to open the Registry Editor in Windows. To do this, type regedit in the search bar and right-click Run as administrator.
Step 2: Navigate to the appropriate directory
Once the Registry Editor is open, we must navigate to the following folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node. Within this folder, we expand the Foreign, Speech, Voices, and Tokens folders.
Step 3: Copy the Registry Path
Now, we need to copy the registry path. To do this, right-click Tokens, select Export, and save the file to a convenient location.
Step 4: Add new voices
Open the file you just saved with a text editor like Notepad. Inside the file, find and expand the Foreign folder. Then, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Speech_OneCore > Voices > Tokens and copy the full path.
Step 5: Import the voices
Back in the Registry Editor, click File and select Import. Then, paste the path we just copied and save the changes.
Step 6: Check the new voices
And that's it! Now, when you open the Valobolca app, the new voices we added should be available.
