Method 1: Update standard USB driver
1. Right-click the Start button.
2. Select Device Manager.
3. Click to expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
4. Right-click on Standard USB Extensible Host Controller.
5. Select Update driver.
6. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
7. If updates are available, select Check for optional updates in Windows Update.
8. Click Advanced Options.
9. If optional updates are available, install them.
Method 2: Uninstall standard USB driver
1. Right-click the Start button.
2. Select Device Manager.
3. Click to expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
4. Right-click on Standard USB Extensible Host Controller.
5. Select Uninstall Device.
Method 3: Disable USB Selective Suspend
1. Type Power Options in the Windows search bar and select Edit power plan.
2. Click Change advanced power settings.
3. Expand USB Settings, then USB Selective Suspend Settings.
4. Change the setting to Off.
Method 4: Disable Fast Startup
1. Type Power Options in the Windows search bar and select Edit power plan.
2. Click Choose what the power buttons do.
3. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
4. Uncheck the Enable fast startup option.
Method 5: Run the Device Troubleshooter
1. Type CMD in the Windows search bar.
2. Right click on the result and select Run as administrator.
3. Type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic and press Enter.
