Welcome, reader! In this tutorial, I'll explain how to remove the Bing Discover icon from the Microsoft Edge browser. Instead of a video, I'll present the steps in this article so you can easily follow along.
Step 1: Open the registry editor
First, you need to open the Windows Registry Editor. To do so, type regedit in the Windows search bar and right-click the results. Then, select Run as administrator.
Step 2: Navigate to the correct directory
Once you've opened the Registry Editor, click and expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder. Then, click and expand the SOFTWARE, Policies, and Microsoft folders.
Step 3: Create a new key
Create a new key inside the Microsoft folder. Right-click the Microsoft folder, select New, and then select Key. Name the key Edge.
Step 4: Create a new 32-bit value
Inside the Edge folder, right-click and select New, then DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the value HubSidebarEnabled.
Step 5: Change the data value
Double-click the HubSidebarEnabled value and change the data value to 0.
Step 6: Close the Registry Editor
Once you have changed the data value, you can close the registry editor.
